Welcome
The Highfield School
The Highfield School is an ambitious school where all are encouraged to achieve their full potential. This is based on a culture of high expectation, challenge and the support needed, so that by working hard together, we can all achieve our goals. We have an excellent reputation both academically and pastorally.
GRIT Mentors Celebration Lunch
We were delighted to attend a celebration lunch on Monday to thank our GRIT Mentors for their outstanding hard work and dedication throughout the year. Our mentors have made a significant contribution by supporting younger students at Highfield, helping them to build confidence, resilience, and a positive attitude towards learning.
The lunch was generously funded by The Heritage Foundation, and we would like to extend our sincere thanks for their continued support of the GRIT programme.
We are incredibly proud of everything our mentors have achieved this year and the positive impact they have had on our school community. We look forward to welcoming a new group of mentors and continuing the programme's success in the year ahead.
Meet the sisters... well, our incredibly talented students anyway trying on their costumes for the first time!
Here's a first look at the cast in costume for Nunsense. We've got a bad habit... of putting on great shows here at Highfield! The second evening in our trinity of performing arts events this term promises to be an incredible evening of: fun, laughter and downright silliness!
Join us on Tuesday 7th July at 6:00pm for an evening of music, laughter and fabulous performances.
Licensed bar available throughout the evening.
NUNSENSE A Musical Comedy Book, Music and Lyrics by Dan Goggin. This amateur production of NUNSENSE is presented by arrangement with Concord Theatricals Ltd.

Last week, our Year 10 students took part in the Tunnock’s Teacake Challenge, where they transformed a simple teacake into an eye-catching creation using their decorative skills and creativity.
A huge well done to Sophia S for her beautiful strawberry rose design, Nyx E for their striking chocolate shards and Lola and Brooke for their elegant white chocolate stripe decoration. Fantastic effort from everyone who took part!
When this happens, it's usually because the owner only shared it with a small group of people, changed who can see it, or it's been deleted.
Today marks the final Student Parliament meeting of this academic year – a fantastic opportunity to reflect on the achievements, ideas and positive changes our student representatives have helped drive across the school.
A huge thank you to all of our Student Parliament members for their commitment, leadership and dedication to ensuring student voice remains at the heart of our community. We look forward to building on your ideas and successes next year!
We were delighted to host our very first Primary Dance Festival yesterday, welcoming primary schools from across our local area to take part in a range of exciting dance activities.
A huge well done to all of the Year 5 pupils who attended. Their enthusiasm, creativity and energy made the event a fantastic success.
Thank you to everyone who joined us – we loved celebrating the joy of dance together!
